Jeff Forester Reads Legacy Letter on TPT

MSRPO Executive Director Jeff Forester's essay, "My Great Grandfather was a Cousin Jack," was chosen by TPT and Envison Minnesota Legacy Letters, short films produced by Envision Minnesota (formerly 1000 Friends of Minnesota) and tpt.

Each Legacy Letters was chosen to recognize, celebrate and commemorate moments in our state's history that shape who we are today as Minnesotans.

Jeff Forester, of course wrote about his family's connection to a cabin on Lake Vermilion, built almost a century ago by his great grandfather, a "Cousin Jack" who emigrated to northern Minnesota to open the Tower Iron Mine.  Forester knows that it is family time spent togtether on a lake or in the woods that is a uniquely Minnesotan tradition.
