Many assume that the MN DNR or the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will protect our lakes from Aquatic Invasive Species, agricultural, urban or industrial runoff pollution, and poor development.
The truth is that they cannot do the job alone.
In 2019 the MPCA reported that fully 56% of surface waters in Minnesota were impaired. You and I must join together to advance laws, programs and funding to reverse this trend.
No one else will do this work for us.

MLR has a full time lobbyist working for your lake interests at the State Capitol. At the best time in the process, MLR’s CAN system will send you a “one click” email so you can contact your elected officials directly.
MLR members send thousands of emails each legislative session – each one has an impact. Minnesota’s iconic lakes deserve no less.
